I'm Matthijs van Bochove, a videographer, photographer, DOP, and visual storyteller. I started my career in television and have since expanded into documentaries and fiction. I'm especially drawn to human stories and projects that leave a lasting impact.

Over the years, my work has taken me across the world, filming in a wide range of environments and cultures. Traveling has shaped the way I approach storytelling, giving me the opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds and perspectives.

For me, cinematography is about more than creating beautiful images. Every shot should have a purpose and contribute to the story being told. I enjoy finding meaning in the details and using visuals to create emotion, atmosphere, and connection.

Outside of filmmaking, I enjoy making music with synthesizers, staying active through sports and exercise, and finding inspiration in both movement and sound.
